Why can't it co-exist, like an irony that makes sense?

I guess it does in some parts.

I've been reading people's blogs again, and I am bowled over by everyone's posts. So full of current affairs, so unpretentious, bold, so without the intention of showing the whole world how cute/cool they are.

They made me think, like a blog originally should, so much the sweet opposite of all the garbage- self-pitying, self-centered crap that is posted out there, not excluding mine (guilty, I admit.)

Sure theres nothing wrong with doing that, its your private space, you can do what you like with it. Fill in the "but..." part yourself.

Theres so much self-editing going on, seriously. I don't like it.

So, about the school's new direction, its struck a chord.
I wasn't here last year, so when I got back and found out about the new vision, values, I was surprised that so much had changed within that year. I thought, it was a new, more purposeful direction. But it was only when I got into the system that I understood what these people mean.

I do miss the values and vision that we grew up with for 3 solid years. I mean, where does the Begonia come in now?

Eliada mentioned that Scholars. Leaders is probably the most practical vision to put up in these days, because its what students need to survive in the outside world.
I agreed.

But something seems missing these days. Some school spirit, warmth, the good old li yi lian chi that we saw everyday.
Courteous, righteous, edified, dignified.
Responsibility
Care and Compassion
Integrity
Fortitude

I miss those days. Everyone didn't really know they cared about these till they were gone.
